You are so right on, Amy! Dad and I can identify with everything you are saying as we are also in a transition and pruning season of our lives. It is so encouraging to be reminded that these seasons are actually a gift from God for His purpose so that we can continue to bring forth fruit. I am so thankful He is never finished with us. Over the past 50 years of loving and serving the Lord, I have learned the secret to Paul’s declaration in Philippians 4:11-13, “…I have learned to be content in whatever circumstance I am… I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”

Si, so good, Amy. Thank you! As I homeschool kids now into the high-school ages it’s a constant navigation of transition for myself and helping my girls as well. I just had a confession/ discussion session with God (again!) About my anxiety over controlling the outcome vs my calling to be IN the day to day learning…

Deborah, I’m so glad this was an encouragement to you this morning! I wish there was a point in life/work/calling when we didn’t hit the wall of incompetency and humility, but the older I get the more I recognize that this is how we stay humble and dependent upon Jesus.
