Good words, Amy! LOVE the rose analogy! Truly we were never promised a rose garden, but something better... something greater... something even more worthy. Can we take the light and momentary trials for the ultimate reward? In a world of instant gratification, it is hard to imagine it... but we need to hold on to the TRUTH and receive the salve.

Blessings!

Such a wonderful post. Today in my devotions, I read "Surely, he (the righteous man) will never be shaken, he will have no fear of bad news, his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. His heart is secure, he will have no fear, IN THE END he will look in triumph on his foes."

It does not mean we won't have trouble but rather through it we will be at peace for as you said above.."take heart (have peace) I have overcome the world." I love the last part of the verse I mentioned, IN THE END we will triumph over our troubles...we have the victory so hang on through it all. What a comfort.
