I can't wait to hear how successful your surgery was and the ensuing improvement of your sleeping, smelling, and breathing. I'm with the others; I hadn't noticed your "distinguished" profile. I probably will now that you mentioned it ; ) I think people (at least mature ones) look at others as a whole rather than the individual parts from which they are composed. I completely relate to the nose as being the distinguished appendage kids felt compelled to comment on. My ski-jump nose was always the bane of my existance, or rather was made such by their remarks. I've always considered it my "humbling block". I feel a certain bond with you now, sister ; > ) Leanne

Being a big-schnozzed girl myself, I can relate (right down to the deviated septum..) However, I think we view ourselves differently, because I have never paid much attention to your nose, just your beautiful eyes!

Hope your recovery goes well!

Amy! You are a fantastic writer!:) I smiled and chuckled through your post, relating completely, but in other ares. And I'm with Sheri...I have NEVER noticed your nose! You are darling and I am so glad to know a woman who has embraced her so called "flaws". It's not an easy thing to do! You are loved.

Isn't it interesting... I never noticed your profile. And would not have even guessed that it was a thought for you.

This post did make me think though that often God does such intricate delicate work on us... on the inside... but is it noticeable on the outside? To think that if God does a work on the inside that would help us to breathe more deeply... rest more completely... and observe with more sensitivity. It would have to be noticeable on the outside!

I am praying for you!
