I am encouraged that often the pits we find ourselves in have nothing to do with sin. Sometimes they are but sometimes they are not. But how the Lord so sovereignly allows situations in our lives that usually are the pits in order to shape our very character (perseverance, integrity, trust, etc). I guess that is why Romans tells us to rejoice in our suffering because of the greatness it can bring. I love that you were sensitive to what was on your heart today.
