Perfectly Peaceful

You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You. Isaiah 26:3

Sydney Sleeping

I’ve been feeling a little anxious lately.  In fact, I couldn’t sleep last night.  So many lists going, so many meetings scheduled, so many unfinished projects.  So little time.  Staring blankly at the ceiling, at one-o’clock in the morning, the one comfort I had was this verse.  In the middle of the stress, if I keep my mind on Him, I will find myself perfectly peaceful.

He will keep me.  He will strengthen me.  He will be my supply.

I will trust in Him.

Good reminder! It seems so much easier to focus on our issues and our situations that we find ourselves drowning in a storm God wishes to calm. It requires stepping out on the water and not taking our eyes off Him even for a second. It’s the only way to live, the only way to have peace!

Thanks for linking up with The Wednesday Word ;) Love you!

Thank you, Tam. Clinging to God and trusting in Him is the only way to navigate through the stressful and overwhelming seasons. Love you too! :)

Night time is the worst time to lay awake. We try to solve all our problems and everyone else’s at night with ideas that seem perfectly rational. When we wake up in the morning, they never seem quite as urgent (and so much easier to give over to God).
